You deserve a therapist that gets it.
McKinzie DeWeerd, LMSW, Certified EMDR Therapist
Hi! I’m McKinzie.
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker and certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist. I am passionate about mental health and meeting individuals where they are. I love helping my patients find healing, growth, and transformation in life. I’ve been afforded the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele and am confident about who and how I am able to help.
One of the key things I’ve learned in my time as a therapist is that healing happens in relationship. We will work to cultivate a relationship of trust where you are welcome to be your true self. I respect that therapy is an investment of your time, energy, and resources. This is why I value offering an affirming approach coupled with honest reflections and invitations toward change. I work from a person-centered therapy style and incorporate an array of evidence-based practices tailored to your unique needs. I look forward to hearing from you!
I’m here to help.
